INVESTIGATION INFORMATION
Mt. Peace Cemetery
Lawnside, NJ

Many years ago, when segregation was rampant, African-Americans were not allowed to drink from "white" water fountains or use "white" bathrooms. Well this separation didn't stop with the living. Even in death, there was segregation. Mt. Peace was designated as a "black" cemetery, one of the few along the East Coast. There are many soldiers from the Spanish American War, Civil War, WWI, WWII, and Korea buried here. These were the same men who gave their lives for this country, and fought alongside of white men, but couldn't be buried with them. Many of these men were from places such as Tennessee, South Carolina, and Maine, and are now buried far from home, due to the tragedy of segregation.

The GSGI Team had problems with our equipment  (Camera's both digital and 35mm, EMF meters, and Thermal Scanners) when ever we sensed anything or when we were getting positive readings with the EMF and Temperature drops all the equipment would start to malfunction this is why most of the pictures below were taken at random.
